We spent last night in Newport AR. So strange to drive on some of the roads I walked.

Driving in Pocahontas AR today brought memories of the mid point crisis and the end to walking the challenging hills of the Ozark’s. I’ll never forget how it took everything I had to get to that town! This time there was no getting beyond Pocahontas. The heavy snow caused accidents and road closures to the north. With the roadblock we decided to stay the night and just take an additional day getting home. It’s really strange transitioning into winter!! I’ve been in summer and fall since I left. This is absolute culture shock!!!

Two of the TV reports are from the Corpus Christi TX area and one is from Wausau central Wisconsin area, following up on their story coverage of my launch now that my journey is complete. They actually have footage of my last interaction with my dad. That brought the river of tears!

I was interviewed today by a reporter, Keith Uhlig, from the Stevens Point Journal. He will be putting together a story to print and once it’s published I’ll share the link.
