DAY 93 ~ 12/16/21

Joan and I walked a total of 15.6 miles today. Greg joined us for an afternoon segment clocking in 3.6 miles. The entire day was a mixture of really really big city and a few snippets of country life. We are in the Houston metro area (suburb of Katy). I cannot believe it. I walked every mile to get here. What???

It was the day of the horse. They seemed to be everywhere including in peoples front yards. Loved their interactions today!

We were in a residential area when Joan’s phone just out of the blue started playing music. We made the best of it! It was a great break in the day. See video below.

Today also brought the most interesting Google route of the journey so far. The road was called the Katy connection. I would never have been able to find it and navigate through its many turns without having the Google maps app running the route. Clarence shared that segment with us thank goodness. I have several pictures to show you what I mean. It was wild.

The four of us had lunch at an Argentinian restaurant called Pampa Grill & Bar. It was directly on our route so we walked right in. I had the waitress recommend my choices which made it so fun. It was really good! Greg and I ate at The Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar for dinner. I knew it was the right place based on the name!!! I started with the whiskey cake which was just like sticky toffee pudding that you would find in the UK. I. was in heaven!
