DAY 6 ~ 9/20/21
Joan walked with me the entire day. We walked 14.7 miles today, through Poynette, a cute little town. Otherwise it was lots of farmland. The friendly passersby waving brightens our day.
This morning I said goodbye to Paige until next month. That was really really hard. We both shed some tears. It’s down to three of us now, Joan, Clarence and I. The RV moved to it’s next campsite near Madison called Brigham County Park in Blue Mounds. The pick up point at our ending spot was timed impeccably. The RV pulled up just as we reached our stopping point. Great job Clarence!!
After yesterday‘s heat I was really dragging today. My heels have been getting sore and I finally looked at them tonight and I have a corn on each heel. Dang it! I looked up treatment and it said to stop doing the activity that is causing it. Of course!!! The next best thing is heal pads or corn Band-Aids which we will get tomorrow. They are not too painful but do slow me down a bit. I plan to push on through and hope the corn pads help.
Finally, a funny story from today. We were hearing some thing at first sounding like a horse. Then we thought it could be some children up ahead. Later I looked at my phone and saw a text from Paige. She said I accidentally butt dialed her and that she was making those strange noises and was listening to our conversation laughing her butt off! That’s my Paigey!!
