DAY 76 ~ 11/29/21
*Forgot answer to game question from yesterday, correct answer D. Pic below *
Joan and I walked a total of 13.3 miles today. It was a repeat of yesterday except for there were a lot more hills. Just an absolutely gorgeous day to walk. It felt like I was walking through the woods. And even the traffic added to the fun due to the people in cars and truckers waving and moving over so courteously.
A woman across the four-lane divided highway was out walking her dog in front of her property. She had a little blacktop path. She yelled from across the road “where are y’all going?“ I told her Port Aransas and she said “wow really? “ Then I told her we started from Wisconsin. She said “no way”, raised up her fists and then said “good luck, that’s amazing!” She watched us for at least a minute as we continued to walk on. The several times I turned around, she was waving and cheering us on each time. I felt so much love and support from a complete stranger in that one encounter! It was really a sweet moment.
Another kind man pulled over in his shiny green Ford ranger truck. He asked if we were just out exercising. We said yes and he started to pull away. I touched my heart and said how grateful I am for him taking the time to stop and ask. He said “well I saw you walking and decided I had to turn around and make sure y’all were okay!”Good people are out there making sure we’re in good trouble!
We moved RV parks today, moving to Cross RV Park in Henderson TX. It’s beautiful surrounded by trees. The place is packed. Lucky we had a reservation!!
Bella, Clarence and Joan’s dog, is truly talking to RV life!! She loves those bucket seats. She even sleeps in them! And she thinks the huge windows are fabulous!!!
The campsites were not level so Clarence went to Walmart to get more blocks to put under the leveler feet. He has fixed, researched, ordered parts, compiled lists of so many things for us regarding our RV, I can’t even begin to itemize how many. He’s just the best!! I’m so grateful we have him on this three and a half month RV journey!!
