DAY 61 ~ 11/14/21

Jessica, Joan and I walked a total of 12.1 miles today. It was all on a beautiful hilly, windy and paved country road. It was absolutely gorgeous weather, 68 sunny and very little wind. Clarence picked us up after 9 miles. We ate at a Mexican restaurant called Chile Peppers in a town called Malvern. When I got in the car he had my favorite candy bar waiting for me on my jacket I’d left in the back seat. How sweet is that!?! When he picked us up again later at the end of our walk, he had Sonic ice cream mocha crunch blasts waiting for us all. He’s really good at being the kind gentleman!

Jessica left late this afternoon. She flys out at 8:15 pm tonight out of Little Rock back to California. Was so great having her as our RV roommate and walking Buddy these past few days.

It was the day of dogs. Jessica counted all the dog interactions we had. This includes all dogs we saw, whether loose walking up to us or behind fences. I couldn’t believe it when she told us but it was 19!! That’s almost one every half a mile!! And we got to see two batches of puppies!! Oh how I love seeing them all.

For the first time, we had two horses actually walk to the fence, which was right by the road, to meet us!! We got to pet them both. It was just precious!!

We did laundry tonight. I was running low on socks. So nice to have all my favorite shirts clean too!!

I can’t believe we will walk across the Texas border in 8 days. What???
