DAY 33 ~ 10/17/21
Joan and I walked a total of 15 miles today, all of which was on Illinois 159 south. The entire day was spent walking through St. Louis suburbs on the Illinois side. Another day passed without any interaction with people, however a white truck did honk and put his arm out the window to wave at us. For lunch we ate at a restaurant called Cheddar Scratch Kitchen. I had a scrumptious salad with lemon pepper grilled chicken, candied walnuts and honey mustard dressing. We had another gorgeous day with blue skies, low 70s and a nice breeze to keep us cool throughout the day.
My Paigey is coming tomorrow, driving a good chunk of the way tonight after work. I am so super excited! She’ll arrive tomorrow morning. We have a day off tomorrow too. I am beyond grateful for that as well. I need it!
We moved to a new spot, Freedom Lake RV Park, in Waterloo Illinois. It’s surrounded by trees and is just beautiful.
Hard to believe we leave Illinois in just a few days. I’m posting a picture of the state highway sign since we’ve seen them so often for so many days. Never really look at stuff when speeding by in a car!
