DAY 57 ~ 11/10/21

Greg and Annie again were our pick up sag wagon to start the day. Joan and I did 6.5 miles in the morning and then Annie got dropped off to join us for the last 1.5 miles before our lunch stop. It’s Joan and Clarence’s 48th anniversary today (Wow Congratulations, that’s amazing!!) so Joan took the afternoon off. I was grateful because that left Annie and I on our own to do the last 6 miles of the day. I never get alone time with her. It was precious. It was extra special that she be in the selfie with me as we walked into Little Rock!!!

Craig and Greg picked us up to take us to our lunch stop BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse. It was a great atmosphere, service was top notch, and the food was great!! Not one of us had a beer. What?

Tonight I was invited and honored to be a guest speaker for this evenings session of the Slumberland franchise conferences to tell my story. We simply did a face time call, but I was projected on two big screens just before dinner. There were probably 300 attendees? What a trip!! At the end, Slumberland Inc (corporately owned by the Larson family) pledged to donate $5,000. I was elated, grateful and very touched to say the least!! Wow!!

Paige is at the conferences so she sent me pictures throughout the day. Really made me feel like I was there too. I’m eternally grateful for her holding down the fort while I’m gone. I could not do this without her love, support and partnership.

Greg, Craig, Annie and I celebrated the successful Slumberland appearance and our last night together by going to an Irish Pub for some appetizers and a cold brew. It was perfect. Annie and Craig will drive Joan and I to our starting point tomorrow. Yay!! It will be hard saying goodbye knowing this surprise visit will be officially over after they drop us off. Said goodbye to Greg already tonight as he will leave early tomorrow morning. He is thinking he’ll come see me in Houston mid December. I’m already counting the days!!! Love having him for my twin!!! I’m a lucky one!
