DAY 88 ~ 12/11/21
Joan and I walked a total of 15.4 miles today. Getting out of Huntsville was on a busy highway that was under construction. And it had very little shoulder so was very challenging. Thank goodness it was only a few miles.
As we were leaving the RV after our break heading back out to resume walking, two men dressed in army hunting gear inside a camo souped up four wheeler approached us off the road. One of them said “Excuse me ma’am?” And then he said what I thought was a question “Does somebody own this land?” I said “I don’t know we were just going for a walk and we’re leaving now” and they drove off saying “Okay we just wanted to make sure y’all were alright”. Looking back I think he was not asking but was saying somebody owns this land, and wanted us to move. He probably thought my response of I don’t know was pretty strange I bet :)
Since today was all on a highway, we had very little interaction with animals. Fortunately there were two dogs that loved me up. They must’ve known I needed it!!
I’ve been noticing a bump in my right arch. No pain. Just have been watching it. I’m starting to feel it like a piece of cotton in my shoe. Tonight I showed Joan and Clarence. They thought it was a tendon, like a knot needing to be rolled out. Paige did some research and found that it could be a planter fibroma growth. Reading more about this possibility it sure sounds like that’s what it is. There’s a gel treatment but it needs a prescription. She’s suggesting I go to urgent care tomorrow. I think that’s a good plan. She’s so smart!
