DAY 43 ~ 10/27/21

I am officially over 600 miles walked so far, not including days off, but including all miles tracked on my phone on walking days. Yesterday I also hit another milestone with 6 weeks under my belt. And I crossed over 40% of the way towards the finish line. What???? That is just unreal to type.

I walked alone this morning 9.7 miles before lunch. There were still some pretty big hills. Joan joined me after lunch for another 4.7 miles. My total for the day was 14.4 miles. The last section was on a wonderful gravel road through the Mark Twain National Forest. There were some good hills there as well, and two parts of the road were 2 to 3 inches underwater. Our feet were soaked. Good thing it was at the end of the day.

We crossed over a beautiful river called The Black River. Perfect selfie opportunity.

I had another two nice gentleman stop this morning while walking on Highway A to see if I was OK. The kindness continues!

Walking through Williamsville, just after I turned on Highway 49, a guy was coming out of a grocery store and saw me walking. He said “Need a ride? I’m going that way.”

I told him no and that I was on a walking journey. He simply said “Oh OK!”

Got home in the early afternoon and worked solid before dinner and after dinner until 7:30. Holy cow these are full days!
